CURRENT ACTIVITIES AND SCHEDULE

Throughout the design process it has been our goal to develop solutions that address both the complex nature of this facility and the various needs of the users of this transportation connection. The project team is continuing to meet with various stakeholders and property owners along the corridor to address these needs. The project team continues to refine the design and work with the City and stakeholders to provide a facility that will:

  • Safely accommodate the projected traffic volumes
  • Minimize overall property impacts
  • Minimize the loss of parking spaces
  • Safely provide for needed access
  • Accommodate the necessary drainage needs in a confined area
  • Provide the best design solutions to satisfy property owners and tenants of the existing homes and businesses

The project team feels that these goals can be achieved by incorporating recommendations from the local, state and federal agencies, along with the Steering Committee and the public. These activities will continue to happen leading up to the Design Public Hearing in the summer 2009. Please continue to access this site for future updates and information.
